Yes, after 40 years, Borders Books will be closing their doors.   The   Borders Going Out of Business Sales   will begin today, 7/22.  Gift cards will be honored during the liquidation sales and Broders Rewards Plus members will be able to use their Borders Rewards Plus discounts through 8/5.   All Borders Bucks will be honored until they expire on 7/31. There are plans to keep a digital presence with support of their ebook. If your store doesn't seem to be Liquidating it might be acquired by Books-A-Million A word of warning about Liquidation Sales. Most liquidation companies will actually increase prices just to give the 10%-80% Savings. While waiting might mean you don't get the item your looking for it does mean you will actually see some savings.
