Live playthrough of the fast action dice rolling Kickstarter game Star Fighters Rapid Fire by Alley Cat Games. Back Star Fighters on Kickstarter . About Star Fighters: Rapid Fire combines the excitement of real-time dice rolling with tactical starship combat. Each player hops into the cockpit of their own starfighter and duels it out in a dog fight to prove who is the superior pilot. The game plays in multiple modes 1 vs 1, 3 player free-for-all, 2 vs 2, or a solo mode where a single starfighter attacks an orbital space station. In the real-time phase all players roll and re-roll their command dice simultaneously, and assign them to the various functions of their starfighter. Borders Books Closing: Liquidation Sales Start Today

Yes, after 40 years, Borders Books will be closing their doors.   The Borders Going Out of Business Sales will begin today, 7/22.  Gift cards will be honored during the liquidation sales and Broders Rewards Plus members will be able to use their Borders Rewards Plus discounts through 8/5.   All Borders Bucks will be honored until they expire on 7/31. There are plans to keep a digital presence with support of their ebook. If your store doesn't seem to be Liquidating it might be acquired by Books-A-Million

A word of warning about Liquidation Sales. Most liquidation companies will actually increase prices just to give the 10%-80% Savings. While waiting might mean you don't get the item your looking for it does mean you will actually see some savings. Books normally have a price on the back of them so unless they cover it up I would personally try to fight for that price. Also since they are going out of business most of the people working there are not employees anymore so might not know policies. I'd also try to price match another retail bookstore like Barne's & Noble if you have one, since they are closing use that to your advantage.

  1. Hey WWadeII,

Just read your article about the liquidation sales titled "Borders Books Closing: Liquidation Sales Start Today". Since my e-book uses Kobo, hopefully their online presence stays in tact. We recently wrote an article called "Don't Be Fooled by Borders Liquidation Sales" on our blog at UltimateCoupons. I thought the AlmostExtremeCouponing audience might appreciate tips on how to catch great deals when stores are closing.
