I read a great post at For The Mommas about hurricane preparation and the nature of couponers and having a stockpile. While I personally don't keep a large stockpile myself, having any amount of extra food for emergencies can be helpful not only for your family but for those around you. Empty shelves at the grocery store , that is all you will find here in the bread, water and peanut butter aisles right now. I just got off the phone with someone asking if I had any spare peanut butter, because they cannot find any, anywhere. I saw my neighbor in the store and she needed toilet paper. There are 3 inserts in the paper this week; 1  Smart Source Insert , 1  Red Plum Insert and 1 Proctor & Gamble Insert .  Don’t forget to buy the largest circulation paper in your area for the best coupons. For example last week I purchased my local paper and it didn't have the Smart Source Coupons I needed .

Well it's shopping Friday and I did not go shopping again this week. Currently I have enough food to last until my Wedding and Vacation next week. The other reason was my $0.30 gas coupon came up missing. I was actually only going to spend $50 this week for the gas savings but without the coupon it seemed pointless. I might have gone for the 200 points for the Clorox Deal , but my SmartSource  didn't have the coupons I needed. So in the end I'll just save the $50 and use it on my Vacation.
