If you love those yummy rotisserie chickens that you can buy at the store (mmmmm, you know, the fall-off-the-bone and juicy, crispy ones….), but are sick of the $6-$8 price, here is a scrumptious recipe you can make at home using your crockpot for only $1.25 per serving! Please note, I do not use aluminum foil to cover the potatoes as I like the potatoes to absorb the chicken juices! Ingredients - 1 whole fryer chicken
- 1/4 cup of butter
- potatoes, sliced into 1/2″ or 3/4″ pieces
- Lawry's seasoned salt, as needed
Preparation - Rinse chicken and pat dry with paper towels
- Rub the chicken with the butter
- Sprinkle the chicken generously with the seasoned salt
- Place the potatoes in the crockpot
- Place the chicken on top of the potatoes
- Cover and cook for 6 hours on High (or low for up to 8 hours)
