2011 Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry Opens 8/31!

Sears is opening it’s annual 2011 Heroes at Home Wish Registry EARLY!
On Wednesday, August 31st!  Between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Central Time, all active duty military and their families will get to register at this link or  http://www.sears.com/heroesathome.

Are you ready!?  Last year, our family was fortunate to receive this wonderful gift.  I hope that many of my readers will get to, also!  Not sure what this program is?  Sears opens up it’s registry to applicants each year to apply to receive Sears gift cards (good for Sears, Kmart, Lands End – and at their online sites as well).  The denomination is not certain until you receive you’r email with the actual eCard.  Cards are funded by awesome people who donate to the Heroes at Home program!

For those who wish to make donations, you may do so from Sept. 4 through Nov. 19, 2011.  Sears will invite Americans to donate to the Heroes at Home Wish Registry, which provides military families with Sears gift cards for the holidays.

For almost two years I've been using chicken crumbles (corn chicken feed) as cat litter, in place of World's Best Cat Litter . I find it funny how World's Best can charge so much for something as simple as ground up dried corn even if it is the one of the best and safest cat litters to use.   I spent a lot of money using scoopable clay cat litter. I was using  Fresh Step   and it is almost up to $0.75 per pound now, and 25lbs fills only 1.5 boxes (I have 4 boxes, 1 per cat +1 extra) . So on average would go thru 50lbs+ a month. The problem with World's Best is the cost of $1.00 per pound.  While the cost might scare you the reasons to use corn litter over clay litter will scare you even more.
