I’ve had a lot of questions lately regarding AAFES and their coupon acceptance, so I thought I’d do some research and share what I’ve found. Here are some Q&A’s from their Facebook page, which I highly suggest printing and taking with you to the store just in case!
Q: Can you use a manufacturers coupon in addition to the AAFES Store coupon on Facebook?
A: Yes, unless one of the coupons specifically states that offer cannot be combined with another offer.

Q: Does AAFES honor any coupon I find for a product sold at AAFES? I have a coupon for StrideRite shoes and AAFES has them. However it’s not an AAFES coupon?

Unless the vendor coupon prohibits use in Military retail establishments, there should not be any issue. Same goes for those awesome Yankee Candle coupons!!

Q: Does AAFES price match Amazon.com? I saw that Amazon is offering the new ipod touch (32G) for 274.99 rather then the 299.00.

Q: Does the Exchange accept coupons from lets say Coach? :) They have a 20% off coupon posted online.
A: Coach has confirmed that their Outlet Coupons are intended for the Outlet stores only and will not be accepted at any other retail location.

Q: where r the {AAFES Facebook} coupons? they r not showing
A: Coupons are still under the coupon tab, due to the new Facebook format of the page, you should look to the top left hand side. {Issues? Right click on the coupon and select “print picture” and you can also select the “save picture as” option and save it to your desktop}.

Q: Anyone know if AAFES will price match an item they only sell online? I found a britax car seat for 219.00 on another website and Affes wants 359.00.
A: Per their price matching policy, “Exchange retail stores worldwide will match pricing on identical items found in the Exchange Catalog or aafes.com with the exception of the following categories: fine jewelry, collectible giftware, crystal and closeouts. In addition, Special Orders and Exchange Online Mall are excluded as well as Wireless Phones and Wireless Data Cards.”

Q: I am wondering about coupons overseas. Do you guys accept expired coupons, 6 months past the expiration date? I have been told by the senior manager that you can a while ago and today they told me they do not. I asked to speak to the Senior Manager but I guess that is the person they called about the issue. When did they all of a sudden change? And why wouldn’t you let your customers know? Thank you
A: Missy, we spoke with the Main Store Manager today, and confirmed the policy is being reiterated and will be followed at the store. If you have any further issues with this, he offered to assist in any way. His name is Joe Hand and you can ask for him by name. OCONUS locations will accept coupons 6 months past expiration date.

Q: Hello, I bought 2 subway gift cards and the cashier really should of told me that they dont work here at Yokota:( I gave them out as gifts and when they went to use them Subway would not honor them…That was really embarrassing to get a phone call from the friend that I gave them too. Not to mention we bought them for our squadron party as prizes.. Thank You:)
A: As of Feb. 7th, “…we’re researching this.” But on another post about the Starbucks giftcards, here is their response: “We are accepting and able to issue the Starbucks gift cards at 5 test locations! If all goes well, rollout to the rest of our 43 locations would begin shortly.” {Feb. 7th as well}
